Cool color for ceramic tiles

GENERAL INFORMATION AND PURPOSE

COOL COLOR FOR CERAMIC TILES is a single-component water-based coating designed for the protection and decoration of wall ceramic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets for indoor use. It adheres excellently to ceramic surfaces and is resistant to common household cleaning agents. The coating is odorless, dries quickly, has good mechanical properties, and provides a satin gloss finish. It is suitable for short-term contact with water on vertical surfaces. It is not recommended for painting horizontal and floor ceramic tiles, tiles in saunas, and similar applications.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before applying COOL COLOR FOR CERAMIC TILES , the tile surface must be dry, clean, solid, and free of dust and grease. Any limescale residue should be removed with a limescale cleaner and lightly sanded. Silicone residue should be removed mechanically with a sharp knife, and any remaining dried silicone should be cleaned with a silicone remover. The leftover silicone remover must be thoroughly rinsed off with plenty of water and allowed to dry. The joints between the tiles (grout lines) must also be dry before painting. Proper surface preparation is essential for good adhesion and long-lasting performance of the coating.

It is applied directly to tiles, without the use of a primer, on already prepared surfaces. Apply 2–3 coats using a brush (with synthetic bristles), a roller (made of microfiber or felt), or by spraying (using a spray gun, where the coating is diluted with up to 5% water, nozzle size 1.2–1.5 mm, and pressure 2–3 bar). When applied with a brush or roller, the paint should not be diluted. Light sanding with fine sandpaper between coats is recommended to ensure better adhesion of the coating.

For tiles in the shower area, it is mandatory to apply 3 coats of the coating.

Touch dry in 2 hours; the next coat can be applied after 6–8 hours. Painted surfaces are ready for use after 5 days.

The temperature of the paint, air, and surface should be at least +8°C, and the air humidity should be below 70%.

NOTE: After applying the paint, the protective tape must be removed immediately (while the paint is still wet). For wiping and cleaning the painted tiles, use a soft sponge. Do not use harsh abrasives or rough sponges, as they can damage the coating. Avoid mechanical damage to the freshly painted surfaces.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

18 months from the date stamped on the packaging. Store in the original, tightly closed, and undamaged factory packaging at a temperature of +5ºC to +25ºC, protected from direct sunlight.
