Cool ceramic tile adhesive 016

The substrate to which ceramic tilesare laid must be firm, dry, clean, not frozen, bearing, free of grease and salt. Uneven substrates must be repaired. Absorbent substrates, porous substrates or concrete must be coated with the COOL IMPREGNATION prior to application of adhesive(as recommended by the manufacturer). Preparation: Mix the contents of the 25 kg bag with approximately 6.5 to 7 liters of water manually or by an electric mixer until the compound becomes homogeneous, lump-free. Add the powder slowly and with constant mixing. Allow to rest for about 10 minutes and then stir again.If necessary, add water to the appropriate consistency of the adhesive. Use the prepared adhesive compound within 2 – 3 hours depending on the working conditions. Application method: apply the COOL 016 ceramic tile adhesive with a notched trowel. The procedure is to apply the adhesive first with the flat side of the trowel and then spread it out with a notched side of the trowel with the tooth depth of 4 to 6 mm forbonding tiles of normal sizes from 10 to 20 cm. Use larger depths of teeth for bonding tiles of larger dimensions. When laying, the surface covered with the adhesive must be at least 65%. After placing, rinse tiles and tools with waterimmediately. Fill the joints between the tiles with the COOL joint compoundafter 24 hours. The joint with can range between 2 mm and 15 mm depending on the tile size and working conditions. The workability of the applied adhesive under normal conditions of 23°C and relative humidity of 60% is 30 minutes. Before application, soakthe absorbent ceramic tiles and standard tiles in water. The optimum operating temperature during installation of the tiles should range from+5°C to + 30°C. Increased humidity and low temperatures prolong the adhesive drying time. Fill the expansion joints with a permanently elastic putty. The drying time from light to full load is from 24 hours to 8 days.

At least 12 months from the date of manufacture in the factory sealed packaging, in dry and ventilated premises at a temperature between +5°C and + 30°C.

Adhesion: 2.5 – 4.0 kg/m² depending on the quality of the substrate, tiles, technique and thickness of the coating.
